Ralph Hardy caught up with DJ Dummy in London for the when he was there for the Wireless festival and got some interesting answers during his #RandomRalph segment.

The often under-rated but ABSOLUTELY essential DJ, is and always will be a MAJOR part of hip hop. How can you say you love hip hop, without acknowledging the relevance of the DJ? I say you can’t. This DJ in particular does it like no other. If you have ever been to a Common show and even more recently, a J. Cole show, you should be able to understand the significance and talent of the man that is, DJ Dummy!

When Native Instruments heard that Common’s and J Cole’s DJ, the legendary DJ Dummy, was going to do a rare in-store appearance with the S4 and turntable control, they rushed a couple of cameras down to catch the master at work. They only managed to capture sound from thier live camera – but they loved his performance so much that they had to share it with everyone.
